Virtual Fly-Ins

December 2023 Virtual Fly-In

As NAFTZ continues to raise awareness through more frequent connections with federal legislators and agencies, we are proud to present our second “Virtual Fly-In” the week of December 4th.  Note the later than previously announced dates are in response to the congressional deadline to approve the federal budget just prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.

With several issues on our advocacy agenda and potential legislation being introduced in the current Congressional session, this virtual fly-in is critical to our overall advocacy efforts.

Our Government Relations advisors at Smith Dawson Andrews will once again coordinate scheduling meetings.  Talking points for the December Virtual Fly-In will be available closer to the meeting dates.

Meeting details will be published on the association’s event calendar as meetings are confirmed.  You will be able to find this info here: Calendar - National Association of Foreign Trade-Zones (naftz.org).

All members are encouraged to attend as many of these virtual meetings as they wish.  We especially encourage members from these legislators’ districts and states to participate in the meetings with their Members of Congress – it makes a huge difference when we have constituents of the Congressional Member on the call – even if they only introduce themselves.

The Virtual Fly-in meetings are a great way to see what Congressional visits are like if you haven't participated in one before.  Just let us know that you just want to sit in, and we'll only ask you to introduce yourself.

Watch this page and your email inbox for further details as they are available.
