CCS CREDIT

NAFTZ Applies thru partner: NCBFAA (National Association Customs Brokers& Forwarders Association of America, inc.). on a per event basis pending speaker/topic applicability for credits. To be eligible one must have a CCS/CES number.
The (CES) Certified Export Specialist certification program is designed to help trade professionals involved in the export industry to become competent and knowledgeable in the current export regulations. You will find that participation in the CES program will provide you numerous venues for honing your professional skills while continuing to stay up with the rapidly changing marketplace within which OTI/Freight Forwarders function. The coursework that will be available is varied and wide ranging, encompassing all aspects of the trade. The CES Certification Program is a program benchmarked to ensure validation of the Freight Forwarders and exporters competencies, and expertise needed to plan, deploy, support and service trade professionals. It provides professionals with the education and knowledge needed to succeed in today's highly competitive market. CES Points will be required at the beginning of each year. The (CCS) Certified Customs Specialist program is designed to assist trade professionals involved in the import industry to become experts in the current import regulations. Whether you have a broker’s license or you have just a year or two of related experience, this course will provide you with a solid foundation for you to increase your industry knowledge. The CCS course will review fundamental points relevant to the importation process while delving into practical, relevant subject matter not generally tested on the formal Customs licensing exam. Each topic will help you grow and develop as an import professional. You will find that participating in the CCS program will provide you numerous venues for honing your professional skills while continuing to stay up with the rapidly changing marketplace within import industry. LCB Credit

Continuing Education for Licensed Customs Brokers (LCB) credits offered by U.S. Customs and Border Protection:
NAFTZ applies thru our CBP-approved partners on a per event basis for LCB credit to be offered at events- once approved these are featured on the NAFTZ individual event websites with the signature CBP logo once approved.
Per the 1/22/25 webinar conducted by U.S. CBP it was mentioned that guests can track their own LCB event registrations/educational LCB credit codes to provide in event of an audit and request to check their website for the latest information and requirements.  Check out CBP’s FAQ page here. JOIN the NAFTZ Program Committee to further develop educational offerings

The goals of the NAFTZ Program Committee are to organize, schedule, and promote the association’s various conferences and events, including Fundamentals, the Legislative Summit, the Spring Seminar, and the Annual Conference. The committee also facilitates educational webinars throughout the year through its webinar subcommittee. Program Committee members select the trade and government representatives that the FTZ community needs to hear from based on current and future trends in the industry. We always welcome new members ready to roll up their sleeves and add new ideas to continue to make NAFTZ’s events a tremendous success for our members. The committee typically meets every other week for a one-hour conference call.
