Trade Compliance Analyst

The Product Support & Logistics Division currently has an opening for a Trade Compliance Analyst located in the Victoria, TX area. As a Trade Compliance Analyst, you will be responsible for managing daily Customs compliance activity to ensure Caterpillar parts and product flow through the Victoria, TX Manufacturing Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) in compliance with Customs regulatory requirements.

Job Duties/Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Managing daily compliance operations of the Victoria, TX Manufacturing FTZ
  • Developing and reporting standard metrics
  • Establishing process and maintaining process documentation
  • On-going support and communications pertaining to FTZ operations
  • Maintaining FTZ management system
  • Working closely with the third party FTZ software provider to implement / resolve issues
  • Coordinating with transportation & logistics operations
  • Auditing and recordkeeping

Basic Qualifications

  • 4-year college or university degree, preferably in Business Administration, International Business, or Supply Chain and/or Logistics Management
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • 1+ year of trade compliance work experience

Top Candidates will also have

  • Knowledge of manufacturing FTZ compliance requirements
  • Experience managing day to day FTZ transaction flows
  • Experience using FTZ management software
  • Process Improvement experience
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar systems
  • Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures
  • Functional knowledge of global trade compliance
  • Interpersonal, teamwork, organization and communications skills
  • Strong organizational and customer relationship management skills
  • Strong analytical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency in written & verbal communication
  • Detail oriented
