Join us for this winter webinar and hear the latest on how to prepare for the Zone New Year. Presenters: Kathryn Joiner, Customs Coordination Specialist, Volkswagen Group of America, and Shana Head, Director of FTZ Managed Services, Indigo Trade Solutions, LLC, will highlight key steps to take in closing out 2018 and setting up your FTZ for 2019 success. A Q&A session will follow the presentation.
Shana began her FTZ career as an FTZ Administrator for an industry-leading home furnishings specialty retailer in which she helped pioneer their FTZ program and assisted in setting up their three regional distribution centers as FTZs.
From there, Shana moved into a management position for a global healthcare company where she served as the corporate SME, updated corporate policies and procedures, and assisted in operating both distribution and manufacturing zones for the company.
She has been a member of the NAFTZ since 2006, and has served on the NAFTZ Operator/User Committee since 2007 which she currently holds the role of Chair.
Kathryn Joiner, Customs Specialist of Group of America –has enjoyed more than 20 years in the automotive industry, working for such companies as BMW. Since 2011, she has provided her services as a customs specialist for Volkswagen. In both companies, she has seen immense growth, largely being inspired by her mentor Donnie Barnes, who taught her how to be respected in the field. Ms. Joiner credits her success in the field with understanding the complex systems involved and knowing how they work to gather the needed information.
Prior to joining Volkswagen, Ms. Joiner worked at BMW for nearly 15 years as a specialist and broker. She also holds an Associate of Arts in computer information systems from Strayer University and was licensed as a customs specialist and a licensed customs broker in 1979.
