Become a Social Media Ambassador for #NAFTZFundamentals21

December 7, 2020
Blog

Become a Social Media Ambassador for NAFTZ’s FREE 2021 Virtual Fundamentals of FTZs Seminar! We are looking for a few volunteers to help generate buzz and excitement about the seminar before, during, and after the event. Please contact Jarmila Zapata at jzapata@naftz.org if you are interested in this opportunity or sign-up today.

What is the role of a Social Media Ambassador?

Social Media Ambassadors post quotes, highlights, and engaging content to generate excitement about the seminar and our incredible programs and volunteers. They help us reach more foreign-trade zone professionals and are invaluable to NAFTZ’s communication efforts. The seminar is the perfect opportunity to capture our enthusiasm for trade issues impacting the FTZ community.

Keep it simple and fun! Use your phone/laptop to:

•Use the seminar hashtag #NAFTZFundamentals21 to post seminar related updates on your Facebook, Twitter (@NAFTZ), LinkedIn, or Instagram accounts
•Live tweet or post about the sessions you attend each day of the seminar. Include quotes from speakers or keynotes and interesting facts that you learned along the way
•Encourage attendees to follow NAFTZ social media accounts and post using the hashtag #NAFTZFundamentals21
•Follow NAFTZ on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn (Company and Group), and Instagram and share or retweet already developed conference posts and updates

FAQs

•Do I need to have many followers to become a Social Media Ambassador? Not necessarily. We want Ambassadors to have influence within the FTZ industry. We value both the size and quality of an Ambassador’s network.
•Do I need to be active on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn? While the ideal Ambassador would have influence on all three main social media platforms, in addition to others like Instagram, we also know that some may be extremely influential on LinkedIn, but not have a Twitter account. We will consider each applicant’s individual strengths and role in the FTZ industry.
•How often do I need to actively promote NAFTZ social media posts? We encourage Ambassadors to be as active as possible given their work and home life schedules. We will be providing posts for Ambassadors to share.

Guidelines

Conduct
•Help attendees and followers benefit from your participation

•Always conduct yourself professionally
•Avoid actions that could negatively impact NAFTZ’s reputation

Integrity
•Recording of any presentation or session is prohibited without express permission of the content owner
•Please do not share slides, pictures, etc., on social media channels without the express permission of the author and/or an authorized agent
•Please do not share anything stated to be “Off the record”

Professional Courtesy
•We encourage you to tag and share broadly, but be sensible
•If in a professional or social setting with another attendee, it never hurts to ask if you can tag them

Association and Meeting Responsibility
•Please be mindful that you are a volunteer rather than an official spokesperson of the association or the meeting. Your opinions and your Tweets – valued as they are! – are you own
