April Chairman’s Letter

April 28, 2022

“The pain of parting is nothing to the joy of meeting again.” – Charles Dickens

Registrations for our upcoming Spring Seminar are approaching the record numbers we had at our 2019 session!  You don’t want to miss this conference!

NAFTZ is excited to be hosting in-person conferences again, and the 2022 Spring Conference is in Austin, Texas.  Just in case you haven’t registered yet, you can do so here.  And members received a $200 discount on the registration cost!

The day-and-a-half conference agenda is packed with topics, including:

  • USMCA challenges
  • Forced labor enforcement
  • Exporting from your FTZ
  • FTZs from a Port Authority’s perspective
  • Successful FTZ Compliance

All of this and updates from CBP, a legal lighting round with your questions to our panel of FTZ and trade lawyers, the Fundamentals for those new to the world of FTZs is included, along with networking and finally getting to be with your NAFTZ friends again!  I can’t wait to see everyone in Austin!

We will be sharing more news of Spring Seminar and all our events on our social media accounts on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook .  And, of course, you can always contact me directly at Melissa.Irmen@iscm.co with any comments, questions or feedback.

Lastly, we’re asking all members to recommit to your committees.  If you haven’t already, please sign up for each committee in which you want to remain active as a member.  Take a minute to renew your committee membership here: https://www.naftz.org/serve-on-a-committee/

Please join me in welcoming these new members and new and renewing committee members:
