The NAFTZs Spring Seminar in Newport Beach is all about YOU. We have retailored both the seminar tracks and subject offering to better suit your desire for more timely subjects, detailed training, and other information that affects your bottom line.
This year the Seminar is entitled: "FTZ: Striving Amidst the Chaos" and has one primary objective: to provide you with a wealth of information about FTZs, their relevance as economic engines in the US economy, and how you can capitalize upon the cost-savings already built into the FTZ program.
Seminar participants will receive in-depth knowledge of Inbond issues, E-214 setup, ICE's IMAGE program, Import Marketing, Zones Management Best Practices, and discuss the future of the FTZ program with the NAFTZs Trade Agreement Parity (TAP) initiative. This year's Seminar will contain four tracks of presentations:
Fundamental of FTZs - An introductory track for those new to the Zones program. The track will cover all aspects of Foreign-Trade Zones and the role of the Foreign-Trade Zones Board, Customs, and ICE.
Grantee/GPZ Operator - A track geared specifically for Grantees and Operators who work in ZOnes. The track will be taught by expert Zone practioners and concentrate on Grantee responsibility, Zone Best Practices, Zone Business Models, and launch the NAFTZs newest publication: "The Grantee Handbook," a comprehensive guide for all new and existing Grantees.
Operator/Users - A track which hones in on the key operational concerns such as FTZ operational compliance and includes comprehensive advice on how to deal with Cutoms, Inbon, and Focused Assessment vs. ISA.
Specialty Issues - This track will present the new issues that face the Zones community such as IMAGE/Worksite Enforcement, FDA reporting requirements, Zones & NAFTA, NAFTZ Verification Visits, Census Reporting Manual, and an update on the Association's TAP initiative.
