      The value of exports from America’s Foreign-Trade Zones (FTZs) increased by 13.7 percent in 2013, to a record-high 79.5 billion in merchandise exported, according to figures released by the U.S. Foreign-Trade Zones Board in its Annual Report to Congress. Customs Authorization Still Remains on Congressional Trade Agenda

Congress achieved a huge task on the trade agenda this summer with passage of Trade Promotion Authority, but work still remains to enact Customs Authorization legislation. 2015 Trade Mission to Colombia Stands as a Success for FTZ No. 68

In January of this year, Jose Quinonez of FTZ No. 68 visited Bogota and Cartagena, Colombia as part of a trade mission. Trade Mission participants eagerly met with the National Business Association of Columbia, Invest in Bogotá, US Commercial Service attachés, Colombian Free Trade Zones, Invest in Cartagena, several Colombian universities, and the Cartagena Chamber of Commerce.
